Age Comics

How different are the art style and techniques used in the different ages of comics?
How do you distinguish the art used for Golden Age, Silver Age? Bronze Age? and Modern Age comics?
Comics in America:
The comics from a few decades ago, surprisingly, have quite a different style compared to the comics of the modern day. What you see in older comics is mostly buff, strong, invincible men who act as cliche heroes who rescue anyone in trouble and fight to protect justice. Many super-hero comics. The hairstyles are, obviously, different. The techniques, however, remains quite the same.
Japanese Comics (manga)
Like in the Wsetern world, comics from the past were much less varied and cliched than modern works. Today’s manga is far more varied and interesting to read. The hairstyles became more detailed and matched modern tastes. The clothing became more modern as well. The techniques, again, remain mostly unchanged.
The thing that affects style and preferences the most is time.
