Age Superheroes
What would kids from grades 5-9 be interested in reading about?
Basically, kids between 10 and 14. What would they be interested in seeing in a book? Do kids that age prefer fantasy and interesting situations? What sort of those would they prefer? Do they like superheroes? Pirates? Zombies? Vampires? Rockstars?
Any ideas?
It is tough because your talking about them as a group of people that are all the same.
Remember there is Boys vs Girls…unfortunately since it is junior high..the cool kids vs..the kids who will eventually be their bosses… ect
However, the best bet would be to look at what a lot of kids are being bought at your local barnes n nobles. Because novels that sell out..sell for a good reason they are fun reads. There will be a shelf that says best seller. They may not be the best for literary interpretation or teaching purposes but at least they are reading.
Don’t force feed a kid twilight…they’ll just watch the movie…and it is kind of feminine
