What is the best Batman comic for a new reader?

So I’m playing Arkham Asylum and i realized that i really want to get into batman more. I know the basic Batman info, and most of the villains. I was wondering though what comic i should read first. Thanks

The Dark Knight Returns
A killing joke (short but a brilliant joker story)
Arkham Asylum since you are playing the game.
The Joker is an interesting one from his perspective.
Hush 1 and 2

I’d probably read them in that order to be honest (starting with year one) but they all stand alone so you can pick and choose.
