Daredevil Comic
Should they make a movie about the kingpin, the villain from both the daredevil and spiderman comics?
I was thinking about the idea of a single man that actually controls all off the world’s crime and how it would probably make a good movie.
If you mean a movie that focuses on Kingpin, no. Not now. A lot of the charm of Marvel Comics has always been the improvisatory quality of even the stories which were drawn by John Romita and Gene Colan, which followed the original creators’ work. This is a very heavily censored time, where we don’t call it censorship, but rather “expertise”
There is a lot Stan Lee did — especially, frankly with Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch — I don’t think would translate to today’s movies at all, and if someone wanted to translate Kingpin to the movies I don’t think they’d have any more success among today’s studio’s than they would translating Brecht’s Arturo Ui to the screen (You can be sure for one thing that it would be marketed to the wrong audience if it was marketed at all).
