Issue Number
How can i buy stuff on my card without an issue number?
Ive tried to sign up to the site Graze.com, and because i have the HSBC visa debit card i don’t have an issue number, and because the site requires one i cant register my bank details. I’ve tried entering my security number and digits 0-10 including 01, 02 etc and nothing works I’ve even tried leaving it blank, but nothing works, is there anything else i could try?

I don’t have an HSBC card, but used to have Maestro (used to be Switch which needed the issue number). The Maestro didn’t have an issue number and it was never a problem. I now have a Natwest Visa debit and not had problems with that one either. If there is no issue number, they usually ask for Valid from and valid to dates. Make sure that you are filling everything else in correctly. Nowadays on almost every website I have ever bought anything from, they ask for name on card, long number from the card, last 3 digits of the number on the signature strip, valid from and to and that is about it. If you still get no joy after checking the information you have put in, contact them.
