What is the comic book Justice League of America about?
I need to know what it’s about in reference to the virtue of justice. i need to know within the next few minutes. will award best answer thanks!
The word “Justice” in the name of the comic book is just part of the name really–just a way of saying, “Ok, we are actually the good guys here, check.”
Sorry. I really don’t see a much deeper meaning to it than that.
Lots of comic-book team names are like this–Marvel’s “Avengers” call themselves that but they literally don’t go around _avenging people_, it’s not literal, it just their name for their group.
And the Justice League is about what happens when the huge threats (or the really subtle, nasty ones) hit in the DC Universe, and it ends up being _more_ than what any one of the heroes on the team can take. That says more about that particular team than the name itself does.
With other team comics, superheroes get together to be more powerful as a team, as a unit, than they could be working alone.
With the Justice League, _Nobody_ is wanting for power. Even the Batman, who has no super-powers, still has everything he needs to handle things in his city, his way. So in this case, getting the team together isn’t (usually) about gathering more power. It’s about gathering the minds and getting it together in ways that solve problems that would be _impossible_ for any one of them to take care of as an individual, alone. That’s not saying the individuals on the team are lame–Superman is not lame, neither is Batman. That’s just about trying to _do justice_ or have proper respect for how difficult the task is.
So really the “League” word matters most in that name. Just my two cents.
