Beloved
I gaze at a landscape of mahogany, bronze & pecan-coloured hues
Dark eyes, the colour of mahogany, gaze at me.
Beloved, your black beard is framed at the edges in white.
My eyes marvel at your wondrous figure.
Beloved, your nose & cherubic cheeks are covered in velvety brown.
Your chest, covered in salt & pepper fleece, is boastful & bronze.
I cup my hands around your cocoa brown breasts.
Beloved, you embrace me gently in pecan-brown arms,
And the warmth of an august night surrounds me.
Like a stream calmly meandering along its path,
You wander through my thoughts & soul.
I like the way you structured your poem. It is very involving, alluring and sends a very intimate mental image.
