I know that Arginine is coded for by CGT, CGC, CGA, CGG, AGA and AGG and that a point mutation doesn’t affect the polypeptide produced. But this is a four mark question. I’m not sure that I’m able to explain WHY
I think you understand it — it’s because of the degeneracy of the genetic code, where many DNA sequences encode for a single amino acid, as you correctly pointed out.
