Who are your favorite characters in comics?

I really like POGO, but my favorite is Beetle Baily. When I was in the service, I met a few Beetle Baily’s. It was very entertaining, and I got in a lot of trouble, just laughing at them.
Mammy and Pappy Yokum was pretty cool as well, But didn’t see anyone like that in the service, except maybe a drill sgt.
